Louise Gray for Topshop - Cream Blush Duo

The other week I was having a browse on the Topshop website and thought I'd sneak a peek in the sale section on the off chance that any makeup products would still be available (3 weeks into January, not likely..) but I was pleasantly surprised! I found this gorgeous Louise Gray cream blush duo still available for £3.50! I didn't even have to contemplate it, with a saving of £9 I couldn't say no! A few days later it arrived and I couldn't wait to start snapping some photos to share with all of you...

As always with Topshop products the packaging is seriously gorgeous and so trendy (is trendy a really lame word?) but you know what I mean. The compact comes in a yellow box with a gold star print on the front and the compact itself is so beautiful. As soon as I opened it I thought, summer! This would be a perfect blush product to carry with you to the beach or out for cocktails in the sun (am I the only one fantasising about summer already?) it's lime green with a shiny gold design on the front and when you open it up you're greeted with a really generous sized mirror. Anything with a mirror is a bonus in my book! So handy when you're out and about. You get 2 really good sized blush shades, one in a bright coral and another in a dusky pink.

The pink is perfect for me as I have quite a pale complexion and blue eyes so anything that adds a nice pink blush to my cheeks works really well but I'm also hoping that by the summer when I should have more of a tan, the coral will be perfect to try!

When you first apply them, they look pretty bright and they're definitely well pigmented but they blend so easily and leave quite a sheer colour which is buildable. They're super creamy as you'd expect and for £3.50 this duo was an amazing bargain! Even at it's original price of £12.50 it's still great value. 2 gorgeous colours in one handy compact. Perfect :)

Have you got any favourite cream blush products? And have you tried any of the other Louise Gray for Topshop products? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

A Little Superdrug Haul!

Ahh trusty Superdrug :) always full of bargains!

I popped in there on Friday initially to pick up some goodies for a swap I'm doing with a lovely girl in New Zealand... But being a typical beauty junkie I had to grab some goodies for myself!

Garnier Comforting Cream Wash for Dry Skin

I needed a face wash that would cleanse my skin without leaving it tight and too dry. My skin's been so dry lately that I need to use products that give me a bit of moisture. So I'll try this and see how I get on.

Loreal True Match foundation

These were on offer 'buy one get one half price' and I'm building up my kit at the moment so this was perfect, they retail at £10 each so I got both for £15 - cheap as chips! I've heard great things about True Match, it's a liquid formula and it's meant to adapt to your natural pigmentation which all sounds very fancy! I've used it once already (a pump of each gives me the right shade) and I'm pleased with it so far but maybe I'll do an in depth review in a month or so. I got shades Ivory and Beige.

Loreal Colour Appeal Eyeshadows

Again these were 'buy one get one half price' so I picked up Metal Plum & Platinum Beige - 2 gorgeous, shimmery shadows. I think they retail at around £5 each.

Metal Plum

Platinum Beige

MUA Pro Conceal & Brighten Kit in Porcelain Beige

I'm not a huge fan of MUA (dare I say it!) I tend to think you get what you pay for and if products are as cheap as £1 then they aren't going to be great quality.. Not always true as Elf for example are affordable and good quality. Unfortunately this has been true with other MUA products I've tried, but I thought I'd give this a go as I've read of couple of really good reviews and for £3.50 it's worth a try.

Nivea Milk and Honey lip balm & Vaseline Pink Bubbly

Pretty self explanatory.. I'm a lip balm freak! I hate having dry lips so I'm constantly applying something to moisturise them and these both smell delicious :)

Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial

Last but by no means least, the much raved about Apocalips. I went for Celestial, a dark rose pink which will be great for daytime wear. I may review it but I know there's tons of reviews in the blogosphere right now so let me know of thats something you'd like me to do.
